Bon Successfully Defends Her Title
 Winner of the KFC Grilled Anita Boon Pro-Am Caroline Bon with Anita's Mum Judy. | Caroline Bon from Northland successfully defended her title winning the KFC Grilled NZPWG Anita Boon Pro-Am at North Shore Golf Club. A final round of 1 over par 73 on the testing red course at North Shore sealed Bon's win one shot ahead of NZPWG Board member Susan Farron. Bon took home the $3,700 winners cheque which will help towards getting her to Ladies European Tour School in January. Australian Vicky Thomas slipped back to third position after leading the field by one shot with a second round of 78. Despite not being able to fly the Australian flag Thomas was very positive about the event and is keen to bring even more Australians to the event next year. The day was a success with nine professionals taking home a pay-cheque and $10,000 was raised for the NZ Gynaecological Cancer Foundation. |
North Harbour teams took out first prize on both days. Up and coming North Harbour junior girls Anna Reinen, Ela Grimwood and Anushka Jephson together with Zoe Nelson from Queensland lead the way on Thursday with a combined stableford of 84.

On Friday, the winning amateur team went to Pam Greenhalgh's team of Roy Montieth, Helen Chegwin and Malcolm Cooper with a combined stableford total of 90. The North Harbour Golf Assocation board members proudly flew the flag - fitting winners given that Anita Boon was a North Harbour representative golfer for many years.
